KUCHING, Friday –Sarawak Tourism Board and Digi Telecommunications Sdn. Bhd. are collaborating to hold an Instagram Contest, “Take Me to the Rainforest” where participants stand a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to this year’s Rainforest World Music Festival.
This Instagram contest is open until 10 July 2016 and all Digi subscribers with accounts under their name may participate.
The three winners with creative entries and caption will get one-pair of return tickets from any point in Malaysia to Kuching, one-pair of 3-Day RWMF passes worth RM320 each, as well as three nights’ stay at Damai Puri Resort & Spa.
The first step to participate in the contest is to follow Digi’s Instagram account at @Digitelco and the Rainforest World Music Festival Instagram account at @RWMF_, then take a “wefie” with minimum of two people in the photo.
Upload the photo to Instagram and tag everyone in it as well as @Digitelco and @RWMF_, and include the hashtags #SarawakTourismBoard, #MalaysiaAirlines, and #RWMF2016.
Then, complete the sentence, “#TakeMeToTheRainforest…” in 20 words or less, not including the hashtag, and explain why you want to go to the Rainforest World Music Festival.
Participants can post as many entries but they are only eligible to win for once.
Digi will contact potential winners through their Instagram private messages between 11 July and 15 July, once contest is over.
This year’s Rainforest World Music Festival will be held on August 5 to 7 at the Sarawak Cultural Village and will feature over 20 world music performers from around the world.
Festival tickets and updates are now available online or from the ticketing agents listed at www.rwmf.net, with pre-sale prices available until August 4.
The event has been voted as one of the top 25 World Music Festivals by Songlines Magazine for six years in a row and is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Sarawak (MTAC) and endorsed by Tourism Malaysia with Malaysia Airlines Berhad as the presenting sponsor.
