Pustaka Bookaroo is a children’s literature festival in Kuching and in India committed to bringing children and books together to celebrate the joy of reading to create readers for life.

At the Rainforest World Music Festival 2016 Pustaka Bookaroo will combine music, stories and craft from around the world in workshops for children aged between 7 and 12 to make books come alive as children flood the rainforest with music, laughter, light and fantastical creatures.

There will be 6 specialised workshops at the festival :-

Pustaka Bookaroo is inauguratingthe Pustaka Bookaroo RWMF Tree of Life Doodle Wall, curated by Alena Murang,  wherefestival goers and performers are invited to add their designs reflecting nature and music.

Animals and humans cannot – and will not- survive without trees.Trees give inspiration, comfort and, most importantly, life. So much artwork, music and so many stories stems from trees.

The Pustaka Bookaroo RWMF Tree of Life is a celebration of the web of human expression and nature. It is inspired by the Dayak Tree of Life design, typically found painted on the walls of longhouses in Sarawak and Kalimantan.
