Multi award winning act, Achanak, born in 1989, is a six piece UK based band, who are viewed as one of the leading exponents of New Wave Bhangra, which is a fusion of traditional Indian vocals and percussion added to energetic western dance rhythms. 

The group are one of the few dance music acts of the 1990s, who transcended the limits of dance music as a live music style, due to their energetic performances and musical versatility. They continue to perform today.

As recording stars, seven of their albums hit Platinum, one of them, a Double Platinum.
