Kulāiwi is a Hawaiian trio whose name means “native land,” reflecting their mission to reconnect people with place and ancestry. Their track “Ka Nani Aʻo Maunakea” blends traditional language with contemporary harmony, evoking aloha ʻāina and cultural healing.
The festival’s Mini Sessions that encompasses everything from themed music demonstrations to interactive workshops to unexpected mini performances to drum circles and one-off collaborations, are spread throughout the afternoons. Held in the wonderfully atmospheric venues of the Sarawak Cultural Village and Damai Central, there will be over 50 sessions to choose from, an increase from the usual 27.
